The wedding has always been a party.  Scratch that, the reception has always been a party.  Looking back through images for our last post, I realized that the effort that goes into the treats and favors at weddings is well worth the energy expended.  Take for example, these little treats…

I don’t think you need to dress up a little bottles of wine to be taken home, simply because well, it’s wine.  But it’s the effort that counts.  Click on the ‘more’ link below to see the delectible treats that actually prompted me to make this otherwise non-post…

Every time I see this image, I want a cupcake.  Cupcakes are almost the perfect food.  They are highly portable, one can meter cupcake intake by keeping count (you can’t do that with cake because slice size may vary) and the person eating the cupcake isn’t saddled with the burden of carrying a plate!  It allows the guest to mingle, while still getting their dessert.  If you can’t tell, we here at Strawberry Road are huge fans of confections, but for me, let me eat cupcake.
