Audrey and Chris are a great couple! Very easy going, fun to work with and well, they threw a great wedding for me to photograph! The Golden Lamb Buttery was the setting and we really couldn’t have asked for a better day. The outdoor wedding was held in a field adjacent to the buttery and the skies held back the afternoon shower that passed through with plenty of time for nuptials and a receiving line. A brief shower passed leaving the skies full of tumultuous looking clouds that made for some really cool outdoor portraits. It was also my first experience working with Jamie from Eventfully Planned and that was a great experience as well! With live folk music filling the hall in the barn and dancing, great speeches and some really fun people, we couldn’t have asked for a better day.

I had the pleasure of meeting with Lauren and David for the first time since our initial meeting. It was a rooftop garden engagement shoot! Located atop a parking garage in Cambridge, MA, this elegant garden is a haven of tranquility above the hustle and bustle of the city below. The soon-to-be-wed couple hold this place as significant (not for me to tell why!) and requested their engagement shoot be here amidst the perfectly manicured flora. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who likes a nice quiet spot to reflect, read a paper or just get away for a bit!

The wedding album. Formerly a staid tradition that was generally accepted as one of the ‘must have’ details of a wedding. After all, what does a bride have that’s tangible after the wedding is over? A dress, rings, maybe a slice of her cake and hopefully…an album. The reason I bring this up is that our daughter recently stumbled across our album in the bookcase. An ancient looking tome, it’s full of the staple photography of the late 90′s. As we flipped through it with our daughter, my wife and I realized something sort of profound. As she asked us over and over “who’s that,” we realized that there were different people that were around in our life back then. Sure some of them are now simply facebook friends, some we see at rare get-togethers and others are still regulars in our day to day life. They were part of

Photographing a wedding in Glastonbury CT is easy when its Jen and Kevin. Jennie and I shot their big day from getting ready in separate houses to the big dance at the reception at the Glastonbury Hills Country Club. A nicer couple you couldn’t meet! It’s funny how you get infused into family situations as a photographer and there are those rare occasions where you wish you could be adopted. Jen and Kevin, you can think of us at Strawberry Road as the family members that would be glad to shoot your family’s moments forever :-) We also had the pleasure of working with Audio Media Solutions, a great DJ company! Godspeed to you both Jen and Kevin! Now pictures!!!

Today’s article comes from guest blogger Daniel Sroka. I met Daniel over on Third Tribe – a forum for marketers, bloggers, etc.. He read one of my posts and struck up an email conversation. This conversation lead to him graciously offering to not only guest blog about his experiences working with Interfaith Couples, but also about his own experience putting together an Interfaith Ceremony. He writes from the heart and I love that!! The Beauty of Creating your own Interfaith Wedding Ceremony Interfaith weddings can be the most beautiful of wedding ceremonies. Of course, being in an interfaith marriage myself, I may be biased! But when interfaith weddings combine the traditions and practices of both the bride and groom, I find that they become something special, transcending rote ceremony and becoming a uniquely personal celebration. The way an interfaith ceremony gets created is the key to its beauty. Couples who
